Let Me Be a Woman
Today I came across a lovely piece written by a woman who shared exactly my opinion on a matter close to our hearts. If you feel this way, please consider letting others know. The only way to defeat evil is to share with one another. Thank you for sharing. This is so very true.

I can't help but feel a little nervous to post this particular thought today. 
😶 After all, we live in a culture of ever-rising, radical FEMINISM. 
👩 Women who claim to speak for me cry out that we are being mistreated in the Western world. Masculinity is offensive at best, powerful men are tyrants, and any acknowledgement of the difference between men and women is abhorrent. 
👎 The mainstream media especially will tell me that I, as a woman, am being taken advantage of every single day, that I have the right to choose to WORK instead of have children (implying that having children is an oppressive role), and that my value is found in THE MONEY I MAKE. 
💰💰💰 In response to these particular sentiments, I would like to quote the words of one of my favorite authors and women of faith, Elisabeth Elliot: 
✨"LET ME BE A WOMAN."✨

LET me be graceful, LET me be provided for, LET me be a vessel for compassion and beauty, LET men open doors for me, let STRONG and GOOD men LEAD me!!!
🙌Allowing others to serve you is not WEAKNESS, but a statement of LOVE as you allow them to fulfill their God-given role. 
👈 I am a woman, and this is what I desire. Although there are certainly women who are being disgracefully mistreated in many parts of the world, 
😩 we ladies in the West are risking the loss of God-glorifying MASCULINITY when we disgrace our brothers for ➡︎ SIMPLY BEING MEN. ⬅︎

We need MEN in this world friends, not just boys afraid of their own strength, beaten socially into submission by misguided feminism!
👀 We need men who are CONFIDENT in their masculinity, who use their power to PROTECT and SERVE, and who LEAD with gentle strength and relentless FAITH. 
💪 It is part of OUR role as women to ENCOURAGE our brothers to grow into just such men. 
👊 To deny the men in our life this privilege is to DEPRIVE them of their purpose. 
⚠️ So to this crazy world of chaos and offended rage, I quietly say, "Let me be a woman."
